Mikaela (mxmikaela) is a petite travelmodel based in Washington, D.C. They focus on commercial, promotional, fashion, workshops, and creative modelling. In 2012, Mikaela started out behind the camera as a photographer (@mikaelaliphotography and about a decade later they started dabbling in front of the camera. Since, they have been focusing on advocacy and representation in the fashion and modelling world.
Mikaela has worked with people, designers, boutique owners, brands, animals, in a variety cities, the woods, and of course, in studios! They continue to find creatives all over the world (from London, Montreal, New York, Las Vegas, Pennsylvania, and continue) to meet new people, practice their skills, learn different styles, and of course, create.

Runway Walks
PROJECTS
In 2023, Mikaela walked down the runway at Las Vegas Swim Week Season 6 for their first fashion show. They were chosen to walk for four designers: Epta Wear, Pro Bikini, Steele Swallow Bikini, and Curnagie.
Following LVSW Season 6, Mikaela walked in the inaugural fashion show, Swim and Fashion Week Xpereince, hosted in Washington D.C.while also helping some behind the scenes as volunteer coordinator. The following year, Mikaela opened the second season of Swim and Fashion Week Xpereince.
Since debuting on the runway in 2023, Mikaela has walked in in over 15 shows, (including various NYFW shows such as Runway 7, Front Society, Unikeke Mode NY, and ModelxShowcase), over 30 designers (from Hawaii, Columbia, and the DMV area), and continues to work with Axel Makeup Academy.
They are also experience with print, lifestyle, swim, bridal, and editorial.
In their free time, Mikaela can often be found planning their own #mxedsignals events or networking with photographers around the world.

Starting January 2023, Mikaela has partnered with BookALooker, a (DMV) local dress rental company where they have modeled several of their dresses and helped BookALooker with finding their brand identity.

mxedsignals events
Late in 2022, Mikaela wanted to combine their creative skills of modelling, photography, and networking by bringing together creatives to do what they do best, create.
Since their first mxedsignals event in december (2022), Mikaela has curated a creative space by hosting over 5 events.
